How much does a Galixi membership cost if I'm an educator?
It's Free! Galixi's purpose is to make it simple for school staff to implement the right solutions for their students. This mission involves democratizing insights about all education solutions to make it 100% accessible for schools and their staff.
Any school employee can sign up for a free Galixi Educator Membership using their school email address.
By "educator" do you mean all school staff?
Yes. If you have an email with a K-12 or Higher Education institution then you qualify for Galixi's free Educator Membership.
This is because every school employees' mission is to support student success whether that is in the classroom, en route to and from school, in the dining hall, in an advising session, during athletic events, or anywhere else students develop.
All school staff play a role in supporting student outcomes. This is why Galixi's education solution insights are democratized and made available to all school staff, for free.
Do I still have access if I take a job at another school?
Yes. Just go to your Account page and change your email address to the one associated with your new school.
Do I still have access if I take a job at a company?
Yes. You will have two choices to maintain your Galixi access when leaving your school to take a job at a company:
1) Maintain same functionality... switch to the paid Professional Membership using either your new company's email address or your personal email (Gmail, etc).
2) Maintain free access... switch to a Guest Membership. You will still be able to navigate Galixi to discover education solutions.
*Again, you can always upgrade to a Professional Membership to restore your full access.
Professional Memberships
Who are Professional Memberships designed for?
Galixi Professional Memberships are designed for solution providers, marketers, consultants, career explorers, investors, innovators, and anyone else performing market research or promoting their solutions to schools.
Essentially, the Galixi paid Professional Membership is for anyone that does not have a school student or employee email address.
Galixi Educator Memberships are free for any school staff. They just need to associate their school email address with their account.
For everyone else sign up for a Galixi Professional Membership.
What happens if I leave a company to take a job at a school?
Congratulations on your new job! You can now switch from your paid Professional Membership to your free Educator Membership.
To do this go to your Galixi Account >> Personal Info page to edit your Membership type.
Then, Contact Us (below) and we will reimburse you for the remaining full months left on your paid annual Professional Membership.
Is there a difference between an Educator Membership and a Professional Membership?
Yes. The free Educator Membership (accessible using a school email address) has full access to Galixi's capabilities.
The paid Professional Membership has all the same access as a free Educator Membership except:
- School Forums are Read-Only
This is so schools staff have a venue all to themselves to freely share and collaborate with one another about providers and their solutions without worry of conversations being influenced by a providers' bias.
However, the paid Professional Membership does allow Read-Only access to Forums. If the Forum was a fish bowl Educator Members are communicating inside the fish bowl while Professional Members are simply observing and learning from the dialogue.
Professional Members gain valuable insights into market sentiment. These insights drive improvements in how solutions are designed, built, marketed and delivered to improve overall effectiveness.
Also, these insights empower career explorers to make better decisions as to what employers are the best fit based on what problems they wish to solve.

What membership is right for my consulting work?
The paid Professional Membership is designed for consultants.
An education consultant's paid Galixi Professional Membership can do the following to gain new insights that improve their effectiveness of their work:

Can my company have its own Galixi listing?
Yes, each company, organization, non-profit organization, association, education service center, and even influencer you can have your own Galixi "Organization" listing and accompanying "Solution" listing(s).
If you are in the market of selling products, services, or experiences to help schools and students, then Galixi 's Organization and Solution listings are for you.
What is an education solution?
Galixi considers an education solution any product, service, or experience a school may consider that helps solve a problem standing in the way of their students' achievement.
Here are some examples of each type of education solution.
- Product: laptops, smart board, printers, learning management system, HR systems, curriculum, books...
- Services: consulting, professional development, janitorial, utilities, data analysis...
- Experiences: conferences, events, podcasts, discussion forums, workshops...
Can my Organization post all of our Solutions to Galixi?
Yes. What is unique about Galixi is that our primary goal is to help schools find the right "solutions" to solve their biggest challenges.
Organizations often innovate in many different ways to solve these problems. Regardless of your organization's size Galixi helps you get all of your organization's solutions get proper consideration during schools' evaluations.
